Job Title: Chronic Disease Practice Nurse – Middlesbrough
Location: Middlesbrough
Employment Type: Locum / Temporary
Rate: £25 – £40 per hour depending on experience.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Chronic Disease Practice Nurse to join a friendly GP practice team in Middlesbrough. This is an excellent locum opportunity for a nurse who enjoys long term condition management, health promotion and building relationships with patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Hold chronic disease management clinics with appropriate follow up.
- Perform cervical cytology and provide family planning advice.
- Administer vaccinations and manage cold chain compliance.
- Assess and treat minor injuries and wounds.
- Contribute to audits, protocols and infection control.
Requirements
- NMC registered nurse
- Recent experience in general practice
- Up to date with mandatory training and revalidation
- Familiar with EMIS or SystmOne
