Job Title: Prescribing Advanced Nurse Practitioner – Dorchester
Location: Dorchester
Employment Type: Part-Time flexible sessions
Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 per year pro rata depending on experience.
About the Role
Our client in Dorchester is recruiting a Prescribing Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work alongside the GP partners. The practice values clinical autonomy and offers protected time, peer support and a manageable caseload.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide autonomous consultations for patients of all ages.
- Manage acute presentations and exacerbations of chronic disease.
- Issue prescriptions and make onward referrals.
- Mentor practice nurses and support their development.
- Contribute to clinical governance, audit and protocol review.
Requirements
- Active NMC registration
- MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent
- Independent prescribing qualification (V300)
- Experience managing minor illness in primary or urgent care
